A Milestone, and What's Next at Sexton Finance

This week I passed both parts of the Illinois life insurance producer exam. The application is now pending review with the Illinois Director of Insurance, and once it's approved, Sexton Finance will add life insurance planning and income protection to the coordinated practice I already offer.

The reason for the expansion is rooted in something I've watched up close for years. Most families I talk with already have the products. What they lack is someone helping them connect those products into a single picture. The insurance agent handles the policy. The bank handles the savings account. The 401k provider sends statements that pile up on the kitchen counter. Somewhere in the middle is a person trying to make sense of it all, often making decisions in one area without knowing how those decisions ripple into the others. That fragmentation costs real money, and beyond the dollars, it costs peace of mind.

Sexton Finance was built around the coordinated approach. One advisor, one through line, every piece in the same conversation. Insurance has always been part of the picture worth coordinating, and now it can sit inside the practice rather than being handed off to someone else.

I'll share specifics once the license is official, including how the insurance side of the engagement will work. For now, this is the announcement, and a thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey to get here. The studying, the practice exams, the long evenings with case studies, none of it happens in isolation.

More soon.

Note: Insurance services described above are pending approval of a producer license application currently under review by the Illinois Department of Insurance. No insurance products are being offered, sold, or solicited at this time.
